Directions

After a full wash, decontamination, and polish, you’re ready to apply the coating:

1)      Thoroughly wipe down the surface with a 1:1 70% Isopropyl Alcohol/Water mix, or your favorite prep spray, to remove any trace oils, fingerprints, etc.

2)      Give the bottle a good shake. Crack it open and add a good amount of product (10 or so drops) to a microfiber applicator to prep it. Work the coating into the applicator for even coverage, making sure the applicator’s surface is slightly damp. Apply a few more drops to your applicator and apply to the surface.

3)      Start in small sections, typically 2–3-foot areas at a time. Apply vertically, then go back horizontally in a cross-hatching pattern. The goal is to apply a thorough amount with even coverage over the area.

4)      Wait for the coating to flash. You will see a rainbowing effect when the coating starts the flash process. Typically, 2-5 min is average in ideal conditions. Be Aware! Working times vary with temperature and humidity, so be very mindful when applying. High temperatures and high humidity will make the working time much shorter.

5)      Buff it off! Once you see the rainbow effect, it is now time to remove the residues. Use the microfiber towels provided to wipe away all residues. Use one towel for the initial bulk wipe, and then the second towel to go over the area again to pick up any leftover residue. NOTE! If you begin to wipe and it smears, wait a bit longer. If it is dragging and hard to remove, shorten your flash time moving forward.

6)      Inspect! Look closely for “high spots” or “blemishes” on the paint or adjacent trim, panels, etc. Look at the areas at different angles and lighting to see if anything is left behind.

7)      Sit back and admire your work! Wait 24 hours or overnight before driving the car. Practice proper care and maintenance techniques to provide longevity and get the most out of your coating!

Want a deeper gloss, more shine, and greater durability? You can apply a second coat the same exact way you did the initial coat 1 hour after application!

Coating Install FAQ

How do you know if you have not applied enough coating to the vehicle surface?

-          The applicator will glide over the paint easily if enough product has been applied to the applicator. On the other hand, the applicator will start to drag on the surface if there is not enough of the product on the applicator.

My rags are smearing coating all over. What do I do?

-          The microfiber towels provided are perfect for coating removal due to the low pile. However, due to the low pile, they also load up often. Make sure to fold and flip your towels when you suspect it isn’t pulling all the residue off. Typically, one side per panel then flip or fold to a new section of towel. When in doubt, get a new microfiber towel.

The coating is not applying like it did when I first started. What is going on?

-          The applicator is getting too saturated with the product, or it is beginning to cure on the applicator. I always recommend using the flipside of the microfiber applicator halfway through the installation.

Crap! I found a “high spot”, what do I do?

-          Don’t freak out! If it’s within a few hours of application, just put a few drops on an applicator or microfiber towel and reapply. It should put the high spot back into solution and be able to wipe away. If that doesn’t work, you will need to spot treat the area with a finishing polish and reapply to the area
